The Project
Iksplor, a new activewear clothing startup in Jackson Hole started by two sisters, was on quite a roll. They had won a $50,000 entrepreneurial “kickstart” grant from the state of Wyoming, and had also been among the winners of the Jackson Hole “Pitch Day” event, recognizing the best startups in the area.
They had loads of passion, ambition and resources, but needed to translate this into an actual brand that parents would want to align with. They approached us to help them form their brand that was based in their values.
The Plan.
Through meetings, research, phone calls and more meetings, we uncovered the key building blocks to the Iksplor brand. These weren’t just created out of thin air, but were simply the reasons why the two founders created the company. They were authentic and genuine. We encouraged the Iksplor team to base everything about their operation – from the way they made their clothes to their marketing content – on these elements.
The Mission Statement
To encourage families and kids to have amazing experiences outside, through making the highest quality & most earth friendly clothes possibly.
The Values
Strong Relationships
Exploration & Adventure
Quality & Care
Generational Stewardship
Ethical Production
These elements led us to the creation of a simple and clean company strategy:
Which then led to the next marketing elements of the brand, such as the Unique Value Proposition and key messaging.
The Result.
This led us to the creation of the full Iksplor Integrated Brand Guidelines document. This resource not only captured the elemental building blocks of the company, it brought together word and image in countless ways to provide the basis for the company brand. The team members of Iksplor could then base their entire marketing and communication strategy off of this resource, and use it as a springboard for launching new ideas and initiatives that were consistent with the brand values.
